SmartPlanes Announces Delivery of Drones to US Army Corps of Engineers
After presentations held with Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), SmartPlanes has received orders for its fixed wing Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Freya, equipped with multiple sensors.
The sale of the UAS is handled through a GSA procurement contract, General Services Administration, held by SmartPlanes' distributor Caron East.
SmartPlanes Freya is a micro class UAV. The payload bay can carry up to 600g of sensor equipment payload, and in its current configuration Freya has an endurance of one hour's flight time.
